Sri K Parvathi Kumar

A Chartered Accountant by profession, Sri Parvathi Kumar can be best described as a Seeker of Truth. Born on 7 th November 1945 in a pious family, Sri Kumar had his first spiritual impulse at the tender age of ten. He was brilliant in his studies and secured gold medals in both B. Com and M. Com courses in the Andhra University. He went on to establish the hugely successful firm ‘Rao and Kumar' in 1970 whose services now extend to four continents. The most important influence on his life was his Guru- Master E K and under his guidance he reached great spiritual heights. He is currently the International Chairman of the World Teacher Trust . His discourses on spirituality have been compiled and translated into several languages of the world.

Smt A Yeshoda,

Founder Trustee

The wife of the Founder and Managing Trustee Sri A Sankar Rao, Smt Yeshoda garu was born at Madras in 1934. She belongs to a family of philanthropists who constructed several choultries and free rest houses from Haridwar to Kanyakumari for the journeying pilgrims. She also had been the President of Innerwheel club , Vizag and a patron of several other cultural organizations of the city.

Sri D V Subba Rao

Founder Trustee and Vice Chairman

Born on the 24 th of April, 1932 , Sri Subba Rao hails from a family of well known Lawyers. His father, Late Sri D Srirama Sastry was well known all over the Madras Presidency. Sri Subba Rao is a member of Bar Council of India and of the A.P Bar Council. He is the Legal Advisor to several nationalized Banks and Public Sector Undertakings. He had also been the Mayor of Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation from 1987 to 1992. He is on the managing committees of several colleges and Law Schools. An ardent cricket supporter, He is also involved with several cultural organizations like Visakha Music and Dance Academy.

Prof A. Prasanna Kumar,

Executive Trustee

Born on September 30 th , 1935, Sri Prasanna Kumar, MA, PhD, is currently the Director, Centre for Policy Studies, Visakhapatnam and Member, UGC Panel on Political Science. Prior to that, he had been Rector, Andhra University apart from holding several key positions in the university management. He guided twenty PhD scholars, been the founder Editor of ‘Research Notes', been a Visiting Professor at Georgia , Atlantic University, USA (1994) and authored several acclaimed books and articles on Political Science.

Dr R Suryanarayana Raju

Executive Trustee and Chief Surgeon, Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital

An MS in Ophthalmology from the prestigious Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam, Dr Raju had an illustrious career in the filed of eye care. He worked as Associate Professor in the District Medical & Health Service, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

He also worked in the Regional Eye Hospital at Visakhapatnam and has been the Chief Surgeon at Sankar Foundation since 1999. He is trained in a variety of eye related fields like Applanation Tonometry, Trabeculectomy, SICS, Gonioscopy etc only to mention a few. With his enthusiasm and efficiency, He has been instrumental in the Hospital reaching its present state of excellence.
