Sankar Foundation recently had a most touching and motivating comment written in the visitors book at the hospital by one of the beneficiaries, Mr Joti Babu. He did not give any title to it but it is a fitting tribute to our staff who strive day and night to bring light into the eyes of their fellow men. Hence we call it....
SOLDIERS OF LIGHT
Date: 26-04-2006
I underwent Cataract Eye operation on 20.04.2006, and came today for checkup and I record the following facts of my experience and feelings.
Patients with Eye-ailments, when they arrive at Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital at the Reception Counter, there is a humble and pious lady we first come in contact, is one Ms. M.Padma, She receives all the patients alike with a sincere smile on her face, expresses courtesy and concern towards well-being of patients and answers their innumerable questions and doubts.
It makes one feel “THE HOSPITAL TEAM” are real-care-givers of poor and needy, rendering godly services, unlike other EYE HOSPITALS in town to which I had to accompany my NRI friends during last month. I find no such courtesy and concern extended towards patients, and find no cheers in any Doctor's faces or in staff, but totally commercial, which made me, though far from the city, to come to this serene, and holy-eye-temple SANKAR FOUNDATION EYE HOSPITAL.
Most revered Dr.R.Suryanarayana Raju garu as the Head of Institution and Chief Poojari who deserves ‘Padabhi Vandanamulu' from all our approximately 60,621 patients, who got operated with his team and his god-blessed-palms. The patients cannot value the real services of the Founder “NOBLE-HEARTED-SUPREMO” SRI SRI A.SANKAR RAO with a benevolent heart of sacrifice, which are being rendering to the poor and needy. May God Bless him and family with superabundant graces and grant him peace and good health.
The services of Ms. Swarna Latha, Counselor, Mr. Suresh, Ms. Rama Lakshmi, Ms. Suryakantham, Sri Murthy garu, Ms. Renuka (who gives injection to the Eye.) are praise worthy.
All others whose names are not known: their untiring service and patience in guiding and controlling the patients crowd daily, is very praiseworthy and they are the real-service-minded and kind to patients, in particular Mr. Ramesh, Sr. manager – Patient Care very courteous and dynamic.
HUMBLE SUGGESTIONS:
Ante-room where eye-injections are given before operation is congested (due to lack of place). Silence is to be maintained in this anti-room by the service personnel.
One patient (Lady) expressed with her total adoration and praise saying " Whoever built this Eye Hospital to give us our sight, is like a God. We want to see him and express our deep gratitude."
May the Hospital earn reputation and raise to the occasion as one of the best, not only in A.P. (in serving poor), but in the country and abroad.
