How Do I avail these services?

Anyone wishing to avail these services may walk into the hospital and register themselves in the outpatient department. After the required diagnosis and consultation with the experts, there will be a session of counseling where the patient will be helped to take a decision on the type of surgery that suits him/her. The whole process will be completed in a matter of 2-3 hrs.

The patient is then given a date of his choice to undergo surgery and if desired, accommodation is also provided.

Diagnostic Equipment

532S GREEN LASER useful in treating retinal diseases like Diabetic Retinopathy and retinal holes. This instrument is useful both in the OP and OT. It has three delivery systems including slit lamp, LIO ( Laser Indirect Ophthalmoscopy) and Endo Laser ( used during surgery). IRIS DIODE LASER useful in treating retinal diseases particularly ROP, ARMD apart from Diabetic Retinopathy. ZEISS VISU YAG LASER useful in treating a thin opacification of membrane after cataract surgery and in managing certain types of Glaucoma. DIGITAL FUNDUS CAMERA IRU 450 useful in taking photography of retina and angiographic evaluation of retinal blood vessels. This equipment is also useful in diagnosing various retinal diseases. HUMPHRY FIELD ANALYSER useful in recording visual fields and managing glaucomas. It also finds use in the diagnosis of vision related problems associated with brain.       AUTO REFRACTOMETER is a computerized eye testing instrument. It gives accurate measurement of the spectacle power required.     NON CONTACT TONOMETER is used in measuring the Intra Ocular Pressure for detecting Glaucoma. PORTABLE AUTO REFRACTOMETER is used in school screening camps to measure refractive errors in children. DIGITAL PHOTO SLITLAMP is used for the photographic documentation of eye abnormalities. Top

Surgical Equipment   ZEISS VISU 140 OPERATING MICROSCOPE which is used in surgeries is also an ‘assistant scope' to facilitate training. There is also an outlet for a CC TV display of the surgery. Currently there are three nos of this equipment. ACCURUS VITRO RETINAL SURGERY SYSTEM is used in performing state of the art vitreo-retinal surgical procedures. PHACO EMULSIFIER is used to perform suture-less , small incision cataract surgery. There are 2 nos of this equipment at present in the hospital. .   The hospital is also planning to acquire a Corneal Topography System and a OCT ( Ocular Coherence Tomogram).   Top
